What to expect

At your initial visit, you will meet with one of our providers to discuss your symptoms. You will then complete a detailed exam to help provide more information about your symptoms. Depending on the provider, it may include a physical exam, cognitive testing, balance testing, a visual exam, etc. Treatment will likely be initiated during this first visit; however, your evaluation may continue into your follow-up visit(s) depending on the provider.

Diagnostic tests such as X-rays may be ordered during your initial visit, depending on your symptoms and physical exam findings. Additionally, your provider may prescribe medications; however, it might be necessary to wait for blood work and diagnostic test results before doing so.

Length of Appointment: Please check with our front desk staff prior to your appointment to find out approximately how long you may need to be in the office, as it will depend on the specific type of provider(s) you are scheduled to see.

Arranging Transportation: You may be scheduled with more than one health care provider that day so please be mindful that you may be tired afterwards and may need to arrange transportation home.

New Patient Paperwork: We will send you a link to fill out all of the new patient forms prior to your first appointment. If you fill the forms out ahead of time, please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early. If you do not wish to complete them online, please plan to arrive 30 minutes early to fill the forms out.

To help you get the most out of your visit, you should:

  • Keep a detailed list of the symptoms that brought you to our clinic

  • Be able to provide information about your medical history

  • Bring a list of all prescription and nonprescription medications and doses

  • Bring a copy of:

    • Any recent blood work and/or diagnostic test results

    • Neuropsychological evaluation or previous cognitive test results if available
